Re-optimization of own limestone mines in cement plants requires a reconsideration of the working face again.

The setting of working face is not just considering the need of opening a mine, but more consideration should be given to the composition of different working faces, and more emphasis should be placed on the ore proportioning needs. Multiple working faces, with sufficient ore reserves and a graded arrangement of limestone composition at different working faces will play an important role in the subsequent precise proportioning control.

Because of the increase of detection frequency and the increase of detection density of the block, it is advisable to utilize some low calcium and high harmful components instead of disposing them all as waste. From some of the mines that have been put into production, after realizing detection and optimization, some of them have great potential for reuse of low-grade limestone, so they should be cautious about the waste discharge. For example, in a cement plant in northeast China, after installing a cross-belt elemental analyzer EA-CEMENT, the existing low-grade limestone is no longer discharged, but transported to the crushing station for direct proportioning according to the test results and sent to the plant's pre-homogenization yard. Although this was a secondary dumping that could not be avoided under the prevailing conditions, it was a useful measure to improve the utilization rate of the mine by reducing the secondary dumping of existing ore and reusing the ore that had been treated as waste through the utilization re-optimization measures of the mine.
